I am Dorit

Therapist, companion, space holder –
and a human being who knows what inner conflict, searching, and transformation can feel like.

My work is rooted in a deep understanding of trauma, attachment dynamics, and the protective strategies of our nervous system. At the same time, I believe that healing does not happen through insight alone, but through embodiment, feeling, and conscious awareness.

Because much of what shapes us today is not just a story in the mind –
it continues to live in the body, in the nervous system, and in our relationships.

How I Came to This Work

Early on, I became aware of how profoundly our early experiences shape our later perception, our relationships, and our sense of self. This understanding led me over many years into therapeutic, body-oriented, and consciousness-based trainings.

I am interested not only in what someone has experienced, but in how these experiences continue to live on in the body, the nervous system, and the inner world — and how they can gently begin to resolve there as well.

An essential part of my path has also been my own inner and spiritual development. It has shown me that healing is not only psychological, but also a movement of consciousness: a remembering of who we are beyond our conditioning and protective patterns.

UrbanSoulwork was born from the conviction
that real change begins where we feel safe enough to stop functioning — and courageous enough to truly meet ourselves.

How I Meet People

I do not work on people.
I work with them.

With respect for their boundaries.
With patience for their pace.
And with a clear, steady presence that can offer support when inner processes become intense.

In my work, I weave together therapeutic depth with coaching elements, body awareness, and consciousness-based approaches. The spiritual dimension is not a concept, but a way of being — an invitation to experience oneself beyond roles, stories, and identifications.

For me, spirituality is not about transcending life,
but about arriving more fully in one’s own lived experience.

My Areas of Focus

In my work, I particularly support people in areas such as:

If you'd like, I can also refine the tone slightly — more clinical, more therapeutic, or more warm and accessible.

My Perspective

I do not believe that people are “wrong.”
I believe they have developed strategies in order to survive.

And I believe that healing becomes possible when we learn to understand these strategies, embody them, and bring awareness to the deeper layers of our experience.

UrbanSoulwork is the space I hold for this process.
A space for honesty. For depth. For awareness. For gentle, genuine change.
